Working as an OB Pacu Nurse for 8 years, I can tell you that you do not have to be a PA to assist in surgery. We also had RNFA ( RN First Assists). They were awesome and the drs used them or the PAs depending on who ever was available.

I applied for class 157, but I'm very excited (& nervous) for class 155 bc I have been thinking that once they start hearing back it would be my turn to hear word shortly thereafter :-)

Before I decided to apply to Frontier CNM, I applied to Drexel University WHNP program again as a back up well applied for their June 1 deadline and just got word that I was accepted...So my hubby is like Great u going there? I'm like no...I forgot I...

No. I decided my next 2 options would be Bethel University-their next deadline is March 2017 and University of Cincinnati-deadline is May 2017. Both have August 2017 start dates.

I am looking into back up CNM schools just in case I do not get in to Frontier. Does anyone know of anyone who went to the Philadelphia University CNM Program or Bethel CNM program or Texas Tech CNM Program?

Its official! I completed the online application and mailed off the packet on Friday for the Class 157. All left to do now is wait and pray that I get in.

See that's the thing that's draws me to Frontier because I hear if your in the CNM program, you can take 1 more course and sit for the WHNP as well and get dual certifications. I figure if I go the WHNP route, I can also get a Post Master's certifica...
