  1. Least stressful nursing specialty

I think it varies so much by the individual. I must say though, please do not run to Home health for less stress. It is such a myth. I came from labor and delivery to Home health and it has been a very stressful past 9 months. There are very complic...
  2. Burnt out and just getting started

I can completely see how this is reality. I've been in HH for 4 months and I think the charting is just the nature of the beast. It's like I'm never away from work, ever. I really don't want to go back to the hospital, I've applied for the county, I...
  3. Newbie question

I work on Allscripts too. We do not add PT'S careplan. Only MSW and HHA. PT and OT make their own careplans. I add their frequencies though, just 1month1, then the do their evaluation and change it.

Have you looked into a versant programs in Bakersfield? Many of my classmates got into one of their programs, for Tele, nicu and l&d!
  9. Career advice welcome!

I guess what I'm wondering, is 2 years enough acute experience? I would love to try public health nursing, but should I put in more time in the hospital? I don't feel proficient in labor and delivery, not that that matters much for public health.
  10. Career advice welcome!

Hi, I could use some advice or at least other nurse's thoughts. I have two years experience in labor and delivery, I resigned in September. I had my third child in May 2015 and didn't return from maternity leave. I left on really good terms with my m...
