I would counter offer or decline... You will find something that's right and if you take the job and keep looking (which I'm sure you'd want to), it would be a lot worse to quit after a short time after they invest training into you... This is just m...
Please move this post or link me an answer if you have it but I am looking for "front loaded" CRNA programs. That is, I would like the didactic separate of the clinicals and it would be even better if it was directly before. My nursing program was st...

Thank you I have started one... My nursing program was class than clinical and I felt very prepared for each shift so I know I like that style. I'm not opposed to other methods it's just what I did well with!

thank you jpomax! I appreciate you coming back to answer me! Congrats on getting into your program, and after Roseman, I think a front loaded program is the way I want to go.

I don't know what your prospects are... Maybe social work? I can tell you I have a previous bachelors degrees and it's worthless as far as job opportunities that are additional to nursing. I am going through the the motions though because I now have ...

Took a pee test... All the people in my class (some that are active smokers) passed and continue to pass periodic tests. Just be smart because theses are people's lives you are dealing with in the work force...
So there are about 100 posts on income in Utah but my question is more than that. I know that the starting pay here in Utah is in the low twenties but I am curious how raises work... The average nursing pay in Utah and the national average are prett...

I can only tell you about the Utah campus... I love it! Honestly from the people I know who have been to Henderson say that that program is harder though. I have enjoyed the scenery of Utah and the education is really good because classes are small s...

I really do feel that I am getting a good education, but I am in the "in class" version, not online. The teachers all want you to succeed, and having the didactic up front and clinical placements after make me feel more prepared to perform. Clinical ...

What do you want to know... I graduate from this program in June. Please feel free to message me or just ask specific questions here and I will make sure to address them for you.
heatherisbetter replied to JCKeck1's topic in SRNA
Well I can answer 1 and 2... 1. You WILL get paid your RN salary while in school. 2. All VA hospital systems offer sponsor ship, so it would lend to reason that there are A LOT of yearly applicants.
I will be graduating in June with my BSN from Utah. I have family in McKinney Texas that will help me with a place to stay for a while so I can pay off my loans... So a few questions then. If I take my nclex in Utah will it be ok to work in Texas sin...

Wow!! Good to know!! I've been to some nurse recruiting sessions here in Utah and they all won't allow you until you pass NCLeX. Does this "apply before NCLEX" work for all jobs or just new grad residencies??
heatherisbetter replied to heatherisbetter's topic in Texas
Thank you RAndaRoo, I have been scouring the internet constantly but it wont make a difference until I can pass NCLEX lol. I just wanted a good idea if the move would be worth it financially to pay off loans and if I could get a job when I graduate.
heatherisbetter replied to PACNWNURSING's topic in Utah
They do offer a shift differential but I was told that it isnt much, dont expect more than a dollar or two. Someone may be able to correct me, but I am pretty sure that all IHC hospitals work the same.

I love Dallas... I am originally from there. There is plenty to do and I hope you like warm weather, there are lots of dog friendly spaces as well! What area are you going to be staying in and maybe I can help you a bit. Feel free to PM me.
heatherisbetter replied to dfdgsag's topic in ADN/BSN
You are over thinking it. You can enter into a BSN program that is a 4 year program if it includes pre reqs. If it doesnt, it may take you an additional year. An AA or ADN is 2 years and you can enter a bridge program that will get you a BSN in as li...

do you have a job offer? I would just apply at places that work for you... there are limitless jobs in nursing and you may not know what you really want until you try it! Good luck and congrats on passing NCLEX!

May I ask why CRNA? The navy does offer a program called USAGPAN that tuition is covered with a contract of service. That program does still require at least one year of ICU experience and their website details the information you would need. I recom...
