  1. Commute

So my school was about 20ish to 30 mins from home but that varies on what time I leave home and if there is a lot of traffic. My class started at 8 I left around 640 or 630 am to get to school around 7 or so, I like being a bit early. Clinicals kind ...
  2. Kindle or actual textbooks?

A highly individual preference thing. I've seen a classmate have the textbook on her screen, it is very handy for referring to in class during discussions. If you are a traditional student reading on the screen may be foreign.
  3. Advices for upcoming nursing student

Great job. Have a bit of a breather now and gather books and supplies as you have the list. Download some nursing apps esp the nclex apps onto your phone they will be very helpful during school to prepare you for your exams. it is helpful to go over ...

  10. Is learning on a cheap stethoscope better?

The big debate. You don't want to go so cheap but not super expensive either(sad day if it grows legs). The sound quality is important for sure.
  11. Pre-Requisite Help!

Online is definitely convenient. You must make sure that the programs you're applying to states that they accept courses taken online and which courses to be taken online. you'd want to found that out before enrolling in the said course. Are you in a...
  12. A.A to A.S.N to B.S.N.? or A.A. to B.S.N.?

From what I gathered doing adn or asn and then doing the bridge program RN to Bsn is a good way to save money. You can work while doing the bridge program. Many have considered doing online programs as well. Im currently in an adn program and I plan...
  13. Tips for really strict clinical instructor?

If you're allowed to go the day before, do really good research. Take down important information about your patient and don't skimp out on their meds and there may be a lot. I had a clinical instructor who loved to ask about meds, if they had any pro...

  17. What you wrote sounds like how I am. I can't be around others I absorb the information differently from others. And even hours before the exam there's people quizzing each other and I can't be in their presence either. I have noticed that doing a lot...

  22. Can I still be a nurse?? Do still have a chance?

You would have to do research and look at the program you want to apply for. Do they say specifically what courses and how many times it could be retaken? Some programs can be strict on this so look into it. also don't take the teas until you feel re...
