I work alongside nurses and am in the process of becoming a nurse myself.
While I have great respect for the profession and my coworkers as well as a passion for it (hence my reason for going to RN school), I've noticed nurses (many but not all)...
I know on the psych floor the psychiatric technicians work under a RN and LPN and assist them with different duties.. What actually is it that the techs do and assist the nurses with?

It seems Zofran is the standard antiemetic choice these days for multiple implications (ie post op nausea, opioid administration etc) and while it seems to work amazingly for some people it seems to be a hit or miss for others. Sometimes it works oth...

Any nurses you know left the field to become some form of a therapist such as a clinical social worker, psychologist or Occupational therapist? You see people from these fields enter nursing but never the other way around.

I'm well aware that I will have to cut back to at most 3 days awake while I am in the program. I live alone and just get by (like only 100-200 a month extra depending on overtime). I don't have a spouse to help out and my parents live too far away to...
