Phlebotomy training for a Pre-Nursing student

I'm in North Texas and mine was a 6 week course that cost me $700. And when I say 6 weeks, that was either 1 or 2 nights a week (can't remember) for 3 or 4 hours each session, for a 6 week period. If I were to take it at the college where it's offere...

Phlebotomy training for a Pre-Nursing student

Look around for some certified night courses maybe. I got my phlebotomy certification by a woman who also teaches at a local college but offers the accelerated night course through her company for half the cost & time of doing the college course....

Does anyone actually read all the reading assignments?

Read! At least skim through if you don't feel like intently reading everything. Also, Google the VARK test and see what kind of learner you are. It will give you ideas of ways to study that work personally for your learning style. It has helped me a ...

    please help me..im confused.

The quantitative math class you were taking would NOT have helped you take the ACT anyway because they are so totally different. Quantative & Literary Math was basically "relating math to everyday life" & not standardized test type material. ...

It's all personal preference, but I tend to get hot easily and I couldn't handle the Wonderwinks. Like I said, I love the Smitten brand because they are light, flexible, and allow air circulation. The only thing I don't like about Smitten is that t...

  9. I was a good kid growing up so I didn't realize that I could have bargained/threatened for more money. I was always a little naive growing up.
  10. No, they have some that have the indicator on the cap. My brother used to have a pot problem so my parents used these on him a few times (and I would pee for him because that's what good little sisters do for $20). There are different tests that have...
  11. Drive to your nearest WalMart, CVS, Walgreens, etc and buy a drug test. Take it home & pee and see what it says...then you can go from there by either having piece of mind or knowing it is showing up now & coming up with a plan.

I only like cotton if they feel SUPER soft, like my Dickies Gen Flex or Sketchers top I have.

They weren't scratchy so much as just feeling thick & not breathable. I love the Smitten brand scrubs that are a blended fabric with spandex & are wonderful & thinner.

I tried them on & they seemed kinda hot to me...like the fabric didn't allow much air circulation. I live in Texas though, so I am always concerned about scrubs feeling too hot.
  15. I mean this in the most sincere way, but I know that it might sound bad...If you don't see the patients as people, but rather you see them as objects to learn from, why not look into being a medical examiner? You would be performing your skills on a ...
