We use Pyxis and I can say that we do not count our nicotine patches during med pass, narc count, nor do we need to have a witness to “waste” (dispose of) the patch.

You don't think your former-Psych nurse clinical instructor is capable of teaching you anything? Psych is EVERYWHERE. ER? Psych. L&D? Psych. Rehab? Psych. And you're going to have to know how to deal with patients who may have mental health issue...

Perhaps it would be best for everyone if you stepped away from nursing and took some time to work out your issues.

And, if you were paying attention AT ALL in your Mental Health/Psych nursing...you would know that you should be getting treatment for PTSD. Not using it the reason you can't pass the NCLEX.

What sort of activity? Crafts, bingo, trivia challenges...just any sort of activity? Is it a teaching activity? Is there an activity dept. at this facility? Perhaps ask one if the activity staff? I'm confused as to why this is what your final consist...
