For those of you considering Chamberlain I might have some useful information. My job had an education fair last week and I went to check it out even though I already know where I'm going to school. Chamberlain said they offer discounts to employees ...

I think there are people who are not working for the entire program, mostly because they were new ADN grads and couldn't get a job anywhere. There are classes that require you to be working. The Co-op electives require a manager to sign off on your h...

I got a $533 scholarship from UTA (i think everyone gets that) and if you are enrolled in at least 6 hours per semester you are entitled to $20,000/year in loans. They split it up equally per semester. I was awarded $10,000 for fall and spring so I c...

pink, I think I would have been perfectly fine if I had not been working 40 hours. Try to cut back on your hours and be prepared to spend all other time working on homework. I did my RN-BSN through UTA and didn't find that to be any help other than B...

I really think I would have been fine if I had been able to reduce my work hours from the very start. I also heard about the next 5 week class which is research. There are a lot of assignments and I have no idea how I would have managed them with pat...

Maryann, My friend will be graduating from UTMB in December. She says it is tough. She hasn't been able to work at all for the last semester. She said patho is extremely hard and is the only C she has (UTMB only allows 1 C for the entire program). UT...

You can do one class at a time, but then you don't have enough hours for financial aid. Each class is $1900 and I cannot come up with that every 5-10 weeks. Especially if I reduce my hours at work.

Hey everyone, My relationship with UTA has officially ended. I dropped both classes on Friday. In all honesty, I would have been perfectly fine if I had only been taking 1 class at a time (but then I wouldn't qualify for financial aid). I was taking ...

I am seriously overwhelmed now. The other class I'm taking is very busy. It is all doable, but difficult (keep in mind I haven't turned anything in yet so I only think it's doable). As far as financial aid is concerned, I had no problems. Back in Jan...

So 1 class is already on Blackboard. It is the 5 week theories class. I can do this. There are 7 discussion boards, 2 papers (15 page and 10-13 page), and a group powerpoint. The reading assignments are not as unreasonable as they were in the RN-BSN...

That sucks! At least you only have to wait for May 19, not the fall. I am terrified of starting the program. I have heard that the MSN programs in administration and education are unbelievably hard. I'm worried I won't be able to handle the load. I...

They just started looking at applications for April 7 start on Monday. They will make all decisions by Friday. Give it to the end of the week. Good luck!

I didn't transfer any classes so I'm not familiar with their process. Professional nursing is a total of 10 weeks (technically 11), 5 weeks for A then a 1 week break then 5 weeks for B. There is a new professional nursing class offered every 5 weeks...
I have never heard of anyone not getting in the program. They take a couple hundred every 5 weeks (at least my first class had about 200, maybe other start times have less). In all honesty, the program isn't that difficult. Assessment and research ar...
It has been a while since I took this class, but I think it was pretty easy. I remember writing a letter, and maybe one paper. The paper is split up in multiple sections and each section is due at a different time. I left that class thinking that I c...

Call them and tell them where you work. I work for a small country hospital and it is a partner. I know HCA hospitals are partnered with them. Honestly, I think lots of hospitals are.
They may actually be referring to programs like Excelsier. Some states do not recognize that program, but I think its because in that program you can get your initial RN degree with only doing a weekend of clinicals.
