I took the test in February and got in for the summer semester, all I used was the Kaplan study guide. It was really helpful with math. But not so helpful with the writing portion. Barnes and nobles has a whole section for nursing with study guides. ...

I used the Kaplan entrance exams study guide that I bought from amazon. You could also get it from Barnes and noble. They have a lot of resources there in the nursing section

They were going out today which means we will probably get them tomorrow or Thursday. I was hoping today, but USPS isn't that quick

I'm from Hayward, where are you from? I got called in to fill out an application, also. I guess we should take that as a good sign!! I'm tired of waiting!

I'm from the Bay Area, as well! I moved up to Reno almost two years ago. Did either of you get called in for an interview to fill out an application?

Great scores! I got a 96 in math, a 95 in reading and a 81 in writing. I'm really nervous! Hoping that's good enough to get me in

At my interview I was told that letters go out on March 26, 21 more days!

I'm hoping that anything in the 80s and 90s will be enough! From what I have seen those are pretty rare, most people score in the 60s and 70s. I'm thinking and hoping that we should be ok with our scores!

From what I've heard the Kaplan is quite a bit more difficult than the Hesi. I know other schools usually have averages around a 73%. Another person said anything above 60 is considered a good score and that anything in the 80s is rare.

I had an interview too! I had a second financial aid meeting today. Im hoping that getting the interview is a good sign! I scored in the 90s in math and reading, 80s for writing. Writing was really difficult.

I've seen the same with most averages around like a 73. From what I've seen scores for the Kaplan are usually lower than the Hesi. I'm still trying to decide whether ot not to retake the Kaplan.

I don't remember what my percentile, I was looking more at the scores for each subject. I wish I had seen that! Now I'm wondering what my percentile would be. What was yours?

That is very true!! You're right that it couldn't hurt. I hope that we will both be starting in May, it's the waiting that is killing me. I wish it would come faster!

I don't want to waste the extra attempt though. You can only take it twice a year. If I take it again and do worse, then I wasted an attempt for that I could use for entrance in a different semester. Plus it's expensive! I just hope my scores are goo...

I just used the Kaplan study guide I bough off of amazon. It did not help with the writing portion at all. I'm thinking of maybe buying an SAT or ACT prep book because I remember those tests having a more similar format to the writing on the Kaplan.
