Does anybody else fill that correctional nursing puts your nursing license on the line with doctor not really knowing their stuff and improper report or pass down?

How long is the program usually? And what is the price? And it is better than tech school ?

I live in va beach and my first facility job 3 years ago was 13.42 ..so hopefully its gone up..my friend works as an MD office she started at 15.00

Nothing the va boards require, but i just got IV certified.. Since i deal with iv all the time.. I would love to be wound certified but think its only offer to RN

Starting pay can range from 16.00 to 18.00 depending on where u apply

No i haven't done that... But some advice is just tell the truth and they will understand..as a nurse you may change jobs according to your want for skills or what fits your lifestyle.. You have to do what's best for you.

Congrats!!! I also work at a rehab facility, But yes that job is a great start you will learn alot experience alot and be ready for anything that comes your way in nursing..it could be a little stressful but it is rewarding. Good Luck!

Yes and expect big med pass,lots of vital signs,sick calls and chest pains...it could be done in a shift but sometimes in my opinion on where you are working your license can be on the line so know your scope of practice. And good luck!!!

Dont know why some people feel that way cause LPN is a great start.. Most great RN started where we started LPN...

Does anyone have any special tricks of doing an i.v. And getting it the first try? Tried one today and it blew and saline wouldn't push thur..ughh i.v. Are so frustrating for me...any help or ideas would be great!

Depending on the job but could be between 13hr-18hr... For new grads

In the VA hospital won't hire new grad LPN but will if you been 5 years in!! LPN are everywhere and know more or just as much as an RN, its all about keeping your skills up and research

They been saying those things for the last ten years of my knowledge... So with that being said who knows how long they been saying that before then. LPN are always going to be needed
