Hi I was accepted into Suny Downstate WHNP program. I also got into Stonybrook FNP program but I didn't really want to do FNP. I am excited and nervous at the same time.

I was accepted to this school for spring 2016 but for the evening. Being a LPN I had the option to challenge the first semester, which i did and passed. So I start 2nd semester Med Surge this January. Cant wait. Very excited!! Good luck to us all!!!!

Id say take 2 at a time. That is more doable. I took A/P 2 and Micro at the same time in 3 months. Then I CLEPed 2 classes a month later so in 4 months I took 4 classes. Studied hard, Took the entrance exam and got accepted to Cochran nursing school.

UPDATE: Got my rejection letter from Montefiore this monday on 11/16 . Dont know what thats about since I work for Montefiore Hospital, I scored an 80% on KAT, 88% critical thinking and have a 3.85 GPA. But whatever!. I had already accepted my off...

Cochran said they take into account GPA and to aim for grades of 70 and above on KAT and you have a strong chance of getting in. Montefiore is saying they are only taking the highest 35 scores and they are not really looking at gpa.

There were about 20ppl there. This is way more competitive than cochran, there were only 3 ppl that day.

So I took the test at Montefiore today. Got the same score 80. My critical thinking score went up to a 88%. The same lady on the phone was the proctor she said they have about 200 applicants and that they are only taking 35 students they look at GPA ...
