I would strongly suggest your son talks to the dean. Missing clinicals is not allowed and can result in being dropped from the program. The information regarding the policies are found in the nursing student handbook. Good luck to your son.

There's nothing that states they can or can't do. Typically tho, once it's in writing, it is hard to deviate from it. I'd be interested in your total Hesi score. The total Hesi is usually the tie breaker as to whether you get in or not if multiple ap...

The changes were to the HESI point system. They lowered and added an extra layer to the point values. I haven't heard of anyone receiving more points, but several being shorted them. If you scored super high on all of the areas, perhaps you fell in ...

I believe 28 must be the minimum, but not everyone got in with a 28. It will be important to know what was/ were the tie-breaker(s). In past years it's been cumulative Hesi scores. But, since they changed the scoring without notification, that past u...

I emailed the Dean requesting an appointment, and received an automated response she is out of town until October 26th. I'm not sure if she is truly out of town, or is not wanting to discuss the situation until next week. I do intend to fight the sco...

I was shorted 2 points on my Hesi and called the admissions office. They told me the scoring was changed for the point system they used for scoring, but the website and written materials still shows it to be what was communicated in the admissions pa...

Thanks for the information regarding the addresses. I had hoped they would use the one in the system. Keeping my fingers crossed I receive my letter tomorrow. Good luck to you.

Has anyone who lives outside of Dallas received their letters? I haven't yet, but live in suburbs, changed addresses, and hoping it's just a mail delay. The suspense is killing me!

I live in Irving and did not get a letter on the mail today. But, I changed addresses since I applied. The new address is in the system, but the old one is on my paperwork. Wonder if that is the delay or just due to Irving is slower to get mail. Ugh!...

I am a single Mom and have taken all the science and prerequisite classes, as well as 8 BS/BSN classes (history, govt, speech, sociology, etc) and the max support classes I can at this point. I've taken the Hesi, both HPRS classes (1202,1204) and hav...

I printed it off right when I received PayPal confirmation. You can save as a PDF in the print function. The print function has options (usually on bottom left of screen) for saving documents. PDFs, JPegs, etc.

Go to your local GP. If you do not have copies of previous immunizations from your childhood, you will need to get Titers taken to determine your immunity. (MMR, Polio, Heps, etc). I had titer results determine I had immunity for childhood vaccinati...
I will be applying to the ADN program for January 2016 start date. The deadline for applications is July 15, 2015. Does anyone know how many points would be needed (minimally) to be accepted?

I've taken classes at UTA (A & P I and II, Molecular Bio, and Microbiology). I've taken the rest of my BS classes at a community college, because for me it was cheaper. (I'm an older student with a previous BS and MBA degrees) and so at UTA I was...

I'm interested as well as to whether the prep class is worth it. I took the hesi in Jan and did ok. 93 in grammar, 94 in A&P but only an 80 in math. Lol. I transposed the calculations for metric conversions. I thought the math was the worst but o...
