Honey, I WISH I was graduating with an ADN @ 26. Instead I started an LVN program in my 40s. I do wish I had started earlier, but I didn't let that stop me! Go for it!!!! Age ain't nothin but a number......I still feel 16!

I am just finishing up LVN program (9 more weeks!) and even one of our instructors (RN, OR nurse) belittled LVNs and working in LTC as "you're not a real nurse - you need to bridge to RN ASAP and work in a hospital". No respect even from our teache...

ask yourself: why do you want to be a nurse anaesthetist?

and these are the same people (the daughter) who will then sue you, the doctor, the hospital and anyone else they can think of for "killing" their mother!

I have to disagree with kbenson, I was an EMT and it gave me all sorts of bad "field" habits they are trying to drum out of me in nursing school!
