We have received nothing. The only information is at the bottom of an email..... ***The Board is receiving questions about requirements in Board actions due to the coronavirus. Any requirement that is not met such as a missed screen or support grou...
I bet they will think our request to limit testing/meetings is an excuse to get high. Or extend our contracts. We are given no respect as professionals in any way. I just started a new job at an elective surgical center. I imagine things will slow/st...
Ohio FNP. Good for you! Were you an fnp when this happened to you? I was nearly finished with school to have my fnp when I got in trouble. The thought of going back now makes me sick... I have nine months left. Black mark forever.

Oh I see, so this was to get off probation then? Sounds sort of like my narcotic restrictions. They were only supposed to be for six months but you can't ask for them to them to be removed until six months is up.. then wait for the board meeting two...

I am in Ohio and have completed two years of my required two years.. however time doesn't count until you have worked as a nurse for the whole concert agreement. So by the time I am done, I will be in for three years. Three years of drug tests, anger...

I work in a medical withdrawal program. Being in this hell one of the first questions I asked was if they would report an nurse to the bon if they come asking for help. They do not. You can call and ask anonymously what their policy is. How messed up...
Hello all, This all started for me five years ago... We have always planned on having another child but I couldn't bring myself to go through that while waiting to hear from the board, job hunting, or the first year. I have less than a year and am co...

Thank you both for you responses. I agree totally with what you had said. I am timing this so I will deliver at least two months after this hell ends, probably more unless its a one month try situation! I had actually reached out to my 'case manager...
Im counting down.... No test for FORTY NINE Days... We leave Saturday for a ten day trip to Disney. I have been planning this for two years. Last vacation I was selected the day after we arrived. I swear they plan this... I have never waited 49 days...

They waited 59 days to test me in the middle of a disney vacation this week. Same thing on our last trip, day after flying for 12 hours... urgent care. They want this to hurt as much as possible. Psychologically and financially

They waited 59 days to test me. Waited till right in the middle of our Disney vacation. However, the urgent care was so friendly, quick, and easy to get to. The room was filled with sick little kids and parents who were seeing their trip potentiall...

I did not have a suspended license but was fired and inactivated it myself per lawyers recommendation immediately after the firing. They can suspend as additional punishment once they get to you. Im not sure how, when, or why they do though.
OhioRN1234 replied to mississippiRN71's topic in Recovery
They did not report me. I lawyered up immediately after getting fired, the lawyer dealt w the investigator when they came around shortly after. I did not make a statement. I truly believe that helped me. Falling on your sword helps no one...

I was fired and put my license on inactive status per lawyer recommendation. I was able to find work using my degree not my license while the board took THREE years to get to me. I got a two year sentence. Took a year to find work. So this whole ord...
OhioRN1234 replied to tostayaRN's topic in Recovery
I dont know the answer to that. I think both can?? Do you have criminal charges coming your way? A nursing license lawyer can help lessen the punishment you will receive from the board.
OhioRN1234 replied to tostayaRN's topic in Recovery
First, consult a lawyer. They can give you a better idea of the 'sentence' you will face. If you surrender you can be placed on the OIG list which will prevent you from doing anything with healthcare in the future. Potentially other fields as well. ...

They took three years to get to my case. I was advised to go "inactive" and did so. I think the length of time was due to that. I "looked" good by going inactive. Most can't afford this and honestly the less strict agreement I got wasn't worth the he...
I am in a funk. I have a job which took a year to find. THANK GOD! However, they have greatly reduced their surgical cases. I have not worked even one shift this month. Money is tight. The nurse with narcotic restrictions will be called off first. I ...
