    Question (disaster/emerg.)

It's the word "send" which is causing the debate here. Don't know if I'm on the right track, but I'm interpreting 'sending' someone to get medical help as the pt being able to go for help...

    Question (disaster/emerg.)

I'd say answer # 2 1 and 3 are fairly easy to eliminate, leaving 2 and 4. I'd further eliminate #4 noting that the blood is dried so there's no hope Ah, just noticed, it's a triage situation...

Another little tip - always apply the dressing from the bottom upwards, this reduces the tendency for it to roll or crease. Might just help Tina
  8. Hi Christine, Seems strange having a US nurse wanting to come to the UK, most of us on here are trying very hard to get to the US! :chuckle I'm not sure that you'd be able to get into Mental Health...

Calling all UK nurses going to US

That's great news! You seem to have had a fairly smooth run of things, less than a year since passing NCLEX and just 7 months since phase 1 approval. There's hope for us all yet then eh? :)...

Should I give up my job?

Thanks Suzanne and Sue, I will stay as I am. Like you Sue, I'm sure I will be fine with some orientation/preceptorship. I've been round the block enough times to know what my capabilities are, and my...

    Codeine for analgesia

Yes, it is a marvellous piece of equipment, yet I'm surprised it's not familiar, as it's manufactured in the US. Surprisingly, it is extremely cost-effective, not sure exactly how much it costs, but...
  19. Hey, getting 265 questions doesn't mean you don't know enough, and it doesn't necessarily mean anything went wrong. Don't put yourself down! :) I too got 265 and it took me over 5 hours to finish. I...
  20. Good idea Anna :) It was only after I talked to Suzanne that I plucked up the courage to negotiate my contract to my satisfaction.
