Took the SLE test today and got 30 :) Needed 24 to qualify. Scheduled the KTP test and received the study guides. Looks like its gonna be pretty easy :) Getting very excited !! Anyone else planning to or currently in Kaplans ADN program?

I had the same issue.. Thats why i realized that it was gonna take FOREVER just to get into the RN program there and decided to go to Kaplan instead... It took my sister in law more then 2 yrs to get all her pre-reques done at CSN and she applied to ...

You should be able to get all the accreditation info from the school. I believe it will depend on which Kaplan you are planning to attend. Im in the process of applying for Kaplans ADN program in Las Vegas.

As far as i know the ADN program at Kaplan that starts in April is closed (class is full) but there is another one starting in Sept. Have you heard something different?

Maybe you should talk to a counselor at your school to get the exact details you need for your school. Every school is a little different as far as requirements etc Best of luck :)

I know lots of nurses. Seems to be a common trade among my friends/family :) They all have Associates and had no issues getting a job right out of school. Guess it just depends on the area you live in and where you are applying?

I would LOVE to work in labor & delivery! Thats my dream.. Maybe even be a midwife or lactation consultant one day?? :))

Thats great! How exciting for you!! Im am trying to get into the ADN program in Vegas. It does not start until Sept. though. Did you have to take the TEAS? Or was admission just based on the Wonderlic & KTP?

Seems like its the same issue everywhere. Kinda stinks to spent 4+ yrs on a Associates degree. Have you looked at all the nursing school options in your area?

I'm in the same boat.. I really don't want to wait a whole year or more to apply at the CC's here. Then I still may not even get in, then id have to wait till the following year to re-apply. By then i could be done with school and working as a nurse...

Thats a tough one but i dont imagine its going to get any easier in the future. Id go for the Nursing school and see if you can fing another part time job or get some financial aid etc. You dont wanna be in the same boat a couple years from now.
