I actually ordered a stethoscope from allheart.com today as they are having a sale on the Litman scopes which are normally 100.00 but on sale for 69.00. I read the reviews and people really seem to like this one. It seems like a good one for school and for practice. It also comes in a bunch of delightful colors (lol) and there is the option for engraving so you won't lose your scope as easily if this is an issue for you. As for the black ballpoint pen - that's going to be an issue - lol.

Ok I joined as well and will try to invite my friend from chem class who is 99% going to gtown with us. I wonder if those groans will become louder as we are taking a full load and trying to maintain some semblance of a life - ok maybe not a full life but I would like to see my child once in awhile (which will not happen much if my clinical days are on Tuesday as I only have him 50% of the time and my regular weekdays are Monday and Tuesday). I looked at the 2012 schedule and it looks like our lecture for Nurs 150 is Mondays at 8! Rise and shine all! H

Sam said that once they have your deposit they will send you a bunch of stuff. I guess they want to know that you are coming before they pepper you with paper.

Darkwater and I are in the same boat - Micro and chem are getting rather intense and although I would just like them to be done right now - I still have to get them done. I am still around though - just trying to focus on my classes and take a CPR class etc before January.

If this address that you posted is where I think it is (I lived in DC for 39 years before moving to the burbs) It is pretty convenient to MacArthur Blvd which runs straight into Reservoir Rd which is where Gtown is. That might be good if you don't want to drive but it is pretty far from any metro. Feel free to run stuff past me as I am a native washingtonian and know a good bit about the city.

I live in Potomac MD because I have kids and dogs - lol. But I will be driving to school. I rented a parking space 3 blocks from campus off of craigslist so that's my plan. I will also be driving to WHC - am happy to take people with me if we can make it work. Two or three days a week I take my son to school off of 16th st and then either will come to school or go to clinical I guess. Need to figure this all out. I am waiting to see the Spring 2012 class schedule so that I can start to try to plan my classes around all the rest of the stuff I have going on.

I didn't know that they were making additional decisions after the visit day either. This was news to me. I hope that those were disappointed will have the opportunity in another program! We will all be nurses and I'm sure we will meet again. Good luck! I received the scholarship as well. It is starting to feel real. I will see some of you in January! And I am sure I will see Darkwater205 around the MC campus!

well at least we are now waiting for something new - lol. I've blown off studying for some law and order. That at least keeps my interest.

Yup - tomorrow - ugh although just watched a really cool animation on you tube about DNA replication - transcription and translation. My motivation for studying is at an all time low right now - I am very distracted.

I have studying to do as well - but this not knowing is driving me a little nutty!

I am heading out at 5 to pick up my son and take him to dinner. I will try to relax and not check my email too often during dinner.

Well - my mail has arrived and it contained nothing from Georgetown. However the photo collage mug that I bought for my dad for his birthday arrived safely so that's one less thing on my list of things about which to worry!

I would agree with that - I would be so much more productive in my studying if I was not constantly checking my email. But at least you all are providing me with some much needed comic relief!

So far no news from anyone on my end. I'm not sure now how we might hear but you can stalk your mailperson for fun to take your mind off of waiting. I'm sure they will understand!

I am currently being frustrated by the pathetic play by my Redskins! At least that takes my mind off of other stress. As for being in a public place - that sounds like a bad dream - lol. But I agree that I would rather be at home to do my happy dance or dealing with rejection. I'm supposed to be studying as well but am too stressed to do anything right now.

It's nice to know that we are all very similar in our A-type behavior - lol. We are all totally stressed about this - but it is good that we have this forum because if not we would likely drive the others in our lives crazy (if we don't already). We can ride this out together - think of it as pre-cohort bonding! I have to see the positive in this and try to enjoy my sunday which will be full of microbiology and football and then dinner with friends! To keep our minds off of this - what will you be doing today?

Are any of you old enough (ok this dates me) when the acceptances came in a fat envelope in the mail and the rejections came in a skinny envelope. Back in the day we would stalk the postal carrier - not our email servers - LOL. I know this waiting is stressing us all out - I have been up since 5:30am this morning (my partner left for work then) and so I have had lots of time this morning to stress already. On the positive side I have cleaned up the house, done 4 loads of laundry and am reading my chem chapter for next week. Hoping to hear something on the earlier side today Good luck to everyone!
