Unfortunately, there IS a lot of truth there. I guess that's why I believed it. I'd never seen the site gomerblog before.

To tell the truth, I really thought it was true! I feel pretty stupid!

I think you should pay attention to thread #2, she makes some very valid points. You need to do a lot more investigation, before making a commitment to becoming a nurse.

I don't think they are so much cruel as they are ignorant.

Just wondering how everyone has done who has quit their job to become a CNA. How do you like your job? Was it worth quitting your old one? I hope everyone is happy with their decision.

When I became and RN, I had been working at a LTC as an LPN. When I went to work at the hospital I made the same pay as I did as an LPN at the LTC. Nursing homes around here (Indiana) usually pay $5 - $6 per hour more than hospitals.
