I would be very careful taking this advice as a lot of nursing programs/BSN programs will ask for ALL previous transcripts and if you only give them the transcript from the school you did well at and they find out they can drop you from the program.

It depends on what each plan covers. The private plans may cost less per month but have a higher deductible and/or co-pay and may not cover the same things as the plan through the employer.
