a question to all fall 2012 acceptees: have you already signed up for nsna? i'm not sure whether to sign up now or later because the nsna registration website states "by clicking the "submit" button below, i certify that i am eligible for and am appl...
Orgo was easy as pie. I aced both lab and lecture.. and I honestly don't know why the avg test score was in the low 60s. My lowest grade was a 97 and I didn't have to take the final. Don't let anyone scare you, just read the book and teach yourself. ...
I've personally heard of Hunter clinicals taking place in Bellevue, Presbyterian, Sloan-Kettering, Hospital of Special Surgery, NYU-Langone, and Mount Sinai
I know for sure that you will need a letter grade (greater or equal to C) for the micro. You should probably email the pre-health adviser about all this
Isn't there a way to get an official transcript in hand? The caveat is that it must be in a sealed envelope for it to stay 'official'. Either way, I think you're right, there's no reason why an unofficial transcript printed off e-sims shouldn't work.
Yup np. I believe they should be handing the health forms out at the orientation but they should be available somewhere on the nursing website too maybe. I think official registration for nursing classes is in June or July or something like that afte...
" they said to bring in copies of our grades for spring 2012. it has to be our official transcript right?" good question, i was wondering this myself... " also for registration, do we register by ourselves?" they will explain registration at the orie...
I often find myself looking for information about the Generic program's acceptance stats in the old threads in between studying and I'm having a hard time focusing on the course material because of it hahahah. I wanna know already!
Yeah I was VERY surprised when I heard that as well... but again it includes BOTH generic and accelerated. I assume that it was about 400 generic applicants + 300 accelerated applicants.... who knows Apparently the average GPA was 3.5 and NLN was 145...
I heard there were 25 seats in the accelerated this year hmmm Does anybody know how many people applied to the generic program last year? I heard that 700 people applied, but that included both generic and accelerated. They said that it was more peop...
Yeah 1 point on the NLN is NOT equal to 1 point in GPA, at all. They won't add them together. They probably have some specific system/formula of indexing GPAs. There is a LOT more variation among the NLN scores than in the GPAs. I *assume* 90% of th...
I overheard a nursing student talking about it to her friend who was still doing prereqs. She told her that they consider the NLN more heavily. Something about someone with a high NLN/low GPA having a better shot at getting in than someone with lower...
Are there any other indications that this year is more competitive than the previous? Besides the information presented in this thread. Personally, I have two friends who scored in the 130s so that doesn't tell me much I heard a rumor that they consi...
I see... wow didn't know the accelerated program had such high standards! I don't know how much better applicants are doing this year compared to the last. I don't think the average should deviate too far from that 145-155 NLN composite average score...
Heyy there Did the adviser mean that 165 is the highest possible score for the composite portion? Because technically it can go to 200. The raw score stops at 160 (60 + 40 + 60) though. Do you have any idea what typically the highest NLN scores are i...
