Don't let them get to you....I know that's hard (and I'm pretty sure all of us have come across the b*$#hy nurses that should really go plant dandelions somewhere). Just keep going, and don't ask...
Some employers prefer BSNs depending on the job being posted. If you are working the floor as a staff nurse, most places aren't going to be too nuts. If they are, and still complain about a shortage...
At least you already know what it's like to have kids and recover from childbirth. That's a plus!! I know people do it; it sounds like you're fairly young- that will help, too
No matter which area you go into, I'd strongly suggest a year or two of plain old med-surg, to get the basics down better before having to deal with little patients who can turn on a dime and go sour....
Oy.... pregnant and nursing school... that's going to be hard when you're exhausted or feel lousy (or end up on bedrest, God forbid). And, going to nursing school with a newborn- that wouldn't be any...
I'd leave out the salary part unless she specifically asks- but don't emphasize that...if you do go back, they'll wonder why you'd be willing to take less money. JMHO

No problem. When I went to school, I wanted to work peds... then I moved to TX at a time when hospitals in Austin didn't have peds floors or a childrens' hospital...so I ended up in neuro and I liked...
A lot of times, you get a job just to get a job- lol.... then, as you get into work, you learn more about what you really like (I thought I'd never work geriatrics or psych, and ended up loving both)....
Also, there is a big difference between a tech school and a community college....CCs credits are MUCH more likely to transfer to just about any 4 year school.... tech schools generally don't
