  1. Very encouraging words,
  2. Hello I am an LVN and was wondering if they have a bridge program from LVN to RN for out of state students. And any pertinent I information you may have. Thanks
  3. That sounds fantastic...
  4. Hmmmm....are you complaining? Remember your advice to me...."stop complaining....." You can do this since it has been done a million times before, best wishes to you. You survived nursing school!
  5. Thank you everyone for our kind comments, suggestion, advice, not forgetting constructive criticism. I ended up with two job offers, the first interview was about 45 miles away from my home. I had two interviews on the same morning...i.e pre intv...then followup intv.I was so thrilled and was praying to be hired by this company, as it really sounded like something I was looking for. So they said we will be in touch. Well, the impatient me...could not sit still, so I decided to just email my résumé to this other company that my instructor had suggested would be a good fit for me after graduation, she said she thought I would do a great job there because of my personality, clinical skills..etc. after emailing my résumé, I decided to just stop in and find out if they were hiring, Ofcourse the receptionist said NO. Well as I was sitting in my car in their parking lot, I get an email..(thanks to technology) from their HR department Asking me when I would be available for a phone interview...I was really confused, but did not ask any questions and said right now...so to cut a long story short, they made an offer and I accepted.... this really is a story about faith, as I had forgotten the seed that was planted by my instructor during my training....this is really a calling. So 10 days after the first interview with the other company I get a verbal offer from them....sadly I had to decline.... God is so faithful. I wish I could erase my initial post, but then again I would not have learnt some of the things that were brought back to my attention by so many of you. I like the comradarie and the feeling of being family on this site.
  6. Thank you I appreciate your input and yes, I have to be thankful for what I already have, I was not complaining, but since this is a place of support, I was just sharing my thoughts
  7. The good thing is...I can relocate....so yes I will try outside Austin too. Thanks everyone !
  8. Thank you so much. I have a few more interviews line up.
  9. My best critic...aka husband said the same. I plan on attending a class. Thank you so much..it easier to listen to a friend than your other half.
  10. Thank you, I appreciate your candid comment. Note to self stop comparing yourself to others...keep your chin up and keep the faith. Tomorrow will be better
  11. Thanks will definitely look into it
  12. I am ready to pack my bags too....I really wanted to stay here in Austin and finish off my RN, but I have been looking for an LVN job since graduating in May. Sometimes it helps to know someone...good for you
  13. I am sorry to hear that you are having a hard time with NCLEX PN. What is your email address I may be able to help you and I just took mine in June and passed.
  14. I graduated in May 2013 took and passed my NCLEX the first in June 2013, I graduated from an NLNAC | National League for Nursing Accrediting Commission, Inc. . College. I know it is kind of too soon to feel antsy, but I have been to about 5 interviews, no call backs nothing, I am beginning to wonder what I am doing wrong. I see positions advertised at different clinics and some of my colleagues have been offered employment at the same clinics that I also applied to, and yet I have not been called back. I am feeling frustrated by being side lined. I live in Austin Texas...!! Thank you all for lending me an ear. Also if any recruiters see this post, please contact me..to hire me. I am a mature, dedicated, loving, compassionate, hard worker. I never missed a day of schools for all the three years I was in college. I am always punctual, quick leaner and very professional. Oh...I make friends easily too....because I just love people. Great team player...who is into healthy living and healthy eating
