I have a 21 month old son and will be beginning an ABSN program in January 2014. I started pre reqs full time while working full time before I was pregnant. When I found out I was pregnant, I debated on whether I would take a break or return. I decid...

Congrats! For those that are new grads and received offers to work in the NICU, how did you do it? I just attended my orientation and the students from past cohorts told me it's near impossible to get a preceptorship in the NICU and that was my plan ...
I'm taking Borst and Onken. I received an email from one professor in my Concordia email box, but haven't heard anything from the other professor. I'm still waiting on my books to arrive and I am leaving town for the weekend!
Eperez123 where are you seeing these notifications? I'm not getting anything in my CUI email and it says I'm not enrolled in any courses on Blackboard either? I'm afraid I'm going to miss out of something important!
I'm still waiting to hear back from Ken from the financial aid office because my loans haven't come through yet. Do you know if I'll get dropped from the courses if it's not paid by the first day of the course? I know public universities drop you but...
Arokim, you're correct. We will not have to waive out of the school insurance until December/January. I really feel like I'm forgetting something LOL Are the theology courses still supposed to start on August 19?
Thanks! Yes I've found it. So between now and orientation on September 18, is there anything else that needs to be done? I still have to schedule my CPR class, but besides that, I think we're supposed to wait on everything, right?
Eperez123 was the booklist under the course when you registered? I must not have looked hard enough. I just added the FB group as well if I can be approved. =) I am planning on waiving out of the school's insurance, but for some reason my student ID ...
I don't believe there's a difference in the course, just the number of students allowed in each section. I was under the impression that the online courses were starting August 19, but I haven't heard anything definite yet. I presume they would give ...

$675/unit for an ABSN program at a private university with a total of 55 units in 12 months. Don't qualify for grants since I have a BA already Haven't had much luck looking for scholarships either. Bring on the stress of financing this journey!
Oh man Oklahoma is where it's at! If only I could make the move out there. I have too much family support here in CA which will make it possible for me to attend an ABSN program with a young toddler. But everything you've mentioned about the program ...
I applied for summer 2013 but didn't get invited for an interview so I'm reapplying for fall 2013 and really hoping I get into the program! I had stats pending but am finished now and am just waiting for my final grade on my transcript. I have all ...

Most programs have more than one application period or at least terms. Many of the local CC have one application but two start terms, one spring and one fall. The program I applied to didn't invite me for an interview, hopefully only because I have...

To those accepted in to the program at Concordia, are you required to take the TEAS V before officially starting the program? If not, is there another nursing program exam you are required to take before beginning? Any information would be apprecia...

Does anyone have any classes pending? I think that's the only thing counting against me. It's stats so at least it's not one of the core sciences, but I hope I get an email invite on Monday!!! I'm keeping my fingers crossed and praying.

Oops sorry SG12 you already posted. My undergrad GPA is a 3.25 (majored in Communications) with my prereq GPA almost a 4.0. I also volunteer at my local hospital but realized after I turned in the app that I forgot to write anything about that in t...

I turned my application to admissions in person on Thursday. When I spoke to the girl at the front desk of the admissions office, she made it sound like they had more applications than they usually get. I hope all goes well! I think I might throw ...

SG12, I graduated in 2008 with my BA in Communications. Started taking prereqs full time starting Spring 2011. I took a break last spring to have a baby and now I just have to take stats this semester. I wonder how competitive this cohort is going...
