Actually nurses in southern california make $50 an hour starting and the cost of living is not as bad as san fran. I am a cali native. :-) But traffic and the cost of gas is ridiculous.

I know a lot of nursing students at my school work. Especially as CNAs. (it's required in my program) it will help you get used to working in a hospital and you can start on your experience for when you apply for jobs!

You will need your BSN for the CRNA degree. You also need 2+ yrs working in ICU (adult preferred). You also need to take the GRE. You should focus on doing well in those things before trying to apply to CRNA school. The competition is fierce
