The forms I had to fill out have about a half page explaining HIPAA and it states that the observer and the nurse have to limit shadowing activity to go along with HIPAA you both have to sign, etc.

Well what is HIPAA?

If you want to do something in Pharmacy I would honestly suggest PharmD. That would be the only thing that could be considered a "step up" as far as money goes :) I'm still in-between a NICU nurse and a PharmD career.

Lol! I'm sure everyone hopefully does :) I was hoping that I would get responses like that. I feel like by asking questions and appearing OVER enthusiastic about shadowing that it might erk someone trying to do their job.

They do but unfortunately I missed the deadline to get into them we do however have a club called HOSA that might offer something similar, I'll have to check it out!

I love it! Honestly I really do! I don't really know if it is accurate or not but I've heard it is a really good portrayal of the nurses job :) I suggest you watch the first two seasons to catch up it's really good!

Ha! The lady that did my blood work when I was last in the hospital said she loved doing blood work and setting IVs and all of that good stuff. I was like waaaa?? I guess once you get good at it you would want to do more of it :)

:) I honestly think I would feel that way too. I'm iffy on shots but IVs and stuff and no biggy for me. I hope this is true in my case as well. I guess it is something you will have to get use to. Thanks!
