Hey there Bay Area new grads! Stanford and Lucille Packard have posted the dates for their RN Residency programs and they open at the end of the month! (April 30th) Good luck you guys! http://westandforcare.com/careers_new_graduate_rn_training_at_sh...
If you have a bachelor's degree you do have a slight advantage sometimes. It all depends on who is looking at your application, some might view more experience in other health care fields more important, for example. At the same time some hospitals...

Hello, I asked a bunch of nurses I know the same question and they all came back to me with this: Rapid Interpretation of EKG's by Dale Dubin Amazon.com: Rapid Interpretation of EKG's, Sixth Edition (9780912912066): Dale Dubin: Books Its been around ...
The unit director told me today that no second interviews have been scheduled. But, it was unclear whether or not she meant they haven't been scheduled yet or that they won't be scheduled at all... So the wait continues...
I also interviewed for NICU and was told I did a great job. Though they also said I didn't even seem nervous, which was completely NOT true! haha I was feeling more confident until now that it seems like they praised everyone. But 5-6 hires out o...
You might want to consider calling and questioning it. The same thing happened to me and it turns out it was a mistake and now I'm interviewing for my top choice. It wouldn't have been fixed unless I called.
@newgrad12 I'm an external. @loma510 Yes, that is the address, but all the interviews are I believe at the same address. I know at least ICUs and Peds are both there.
The interview dates depend on the unit you are being interviewed for. The breakdown is: ICU, ER - April 12th Peds - April 16th Med/Surg - April 17th Hope that helps and good luck!
I'm a BSN. I'm thinking it might be because I have a few months of RN experience already. Some programs seem to be OK with less than a year and some don't want you to have any.
Hey so I called back about being set up for an interview in a unit I didn't choose and turns out it was a mistake! And the lady I talked to she changed my profile and now ill be interviewing for my first choice! But they won't officially start contac...
Anyone get an interview for a unit that wasn't on their top 3? I choose NICU, PICU, and Liver Transplant/SICU in that order and just found out I got an interview for CTICU. Guess I can't complain, just wondering if this has happened to anyone else?
I had my phone interview today also. The woman on the phone said that they had 900+ (can't remember the exact #) applications total this year, and that makes it a 1% hire rate.
I have a phone interview scheduled for next week! The person I spoke to told me that they do not give a phone interview to everyone. She said they are doing about 14-15 interviews a day and there are about 20-25 positions at LPCH and 10 at SHC.

llg - There are many threads explaining the difference between NP and CNS but could you tell me why the difference between a Neonatal NP and a Neonatal CNS are different? I have been going back and forth about which direction I should go in. Thanks...
