    I started my paper work late dec 2010. Went MEPS end of Jan. 2011. Packet went to boards Mar18th. Recieved yes from the board but selected 1st alternate.

    It has no bearing on direct accsession. That's even more competitive and I have no experience. I am still planning on trying that route if things don't work
