  7. Nurse Practitioner Residencies

I asked the folks interviewing me about what the preceptorship would be like and was told it was a gradual move from a preceptor to being on my own. They didn’t say if that would be in week 6 or if that was in week 36 though. Do you feel as if you’re...

Neuro, NP thanks for replying. I’ve learned that there are some NP fellowships/residencies that pay 60-70k around the country. As a nurse I make more than 50-55k, so it’s a little bit of a juggle for me to make less with the additional debt from scho...

  15. Negotiating Pay

I never even thought of that. The cost of living is just so high in the new city, and I'm starting grad school. I didn't want to put myself in a crazy situation. I'll just wait to see what they offer.
  16. Negotiating Pay

  17. Negotiating Pay

Thank you so much for responding. I saw that the job I am applying for started at $25/hr and wondered if my 2.5 years of experience would increase that base amount.
  18. Is Anyone A Highly Sensitive Nurse?

I think that I'm an HSP nurse. I scored 12 on the q and a. Lately, I have been getting waves of nausea and had one episode of vomiting in the middle of cleaning a patient up. I had cleaned the patient three times even though he had a rectal tube ..bu...

  22. Like, I said this is my experience. My unit does not teach RNs with less than a year of nursing experience to do CRRT ( just asked the educator). Every unit is different. What's laughable is that you think all units are equivalent. I'm often the onl...

  24. I started taking CRRT patients after two years of ICU experience. I took the class after a year and a half of working in the icu though.. I think that was sufficient. CRRT patients are often unstable ICU patients requiring dialysis. They are often n...
