I love love love being a nurse. Nursing is a stressful profession. I find that I have bad days, but for every bad day there a good days that make me forget about the bad ones. I wouldn't change my profession one bit!

Thinking back on that post, she offered her a CNA position... That could of potentially led to a RN position once she worked her butt off!!! IMO that experience could of been valuable.

Well stated. As a new nurse with only a year of experience, I know that my experiences with bedside nursing will provide me with the much needed background later in my career if I decide to make a change.

I attended Merritt's LVN program for a year and saw the horror first hand. I then got into LMC RN program and graduated from there. HUGE DIFFERENCE. I have a friend you graduated from CCSF about a year ago and loved it. Had a wonderful experience.

I would avoid Merritt!!! Wait until spring and attend ccsf.

I too got a 98%. I studied using Saunders for about a week and passed with my first try! I'm sure you will do fine with that percentage ; ) Good Luck!

Take it as a lesson learned and continue to work hard. With that said, there is NO way to tell what you need to review when you take the NCLEX. All the info taught to prepare you to be a nurse is fair game. That's is YEARS worth of info!!!

I too have an interview at an ambulatory surgery center in the Bay Area. I am a new grad RN an I'm interested in what the pay typically is and how much I should ask for. What was the starting pay at your center?

Anyone have a status change yet? Mine hasn't changed yet and I'm getting soo impatient! HR stated that they hope the interviewing process to start end of October with a start date around e d of November/beginning of December.

The one that I filled out was a behavioral assessment...if that is what FB was implying? Took about 30 minutes to complete. Did everyone else have one when they submitted their application?

I am a brand new grad...just this past May. I think you're right in your experience may have disqualified you, but I'm not sure. Did your status change from in review to diqualified or were there other statuses you had inbetween?
