  1. Failure is an Option: A New Grad Story

  8. Taking Statistics for my BSN, should I be scared?

I've wondered about that class as well, it's the only pre-req I'll need to do for a BSN. The thought of any math scares me, because of my dyslexia, thinking I might be better off doing it locally in a actual class...
  9. Life Span Three

It really is all a blur, I had just about all the pre-req's done already cuz I'm a professional student ;-) I didn't look at the big picture, I scheduled the exams on a rather quick timeline and focused on just that one, then moved onto the next one....

Went and took it yesterday-it was my last test...passed! Man I couldn't wait to get this one done with! The people at Pearson-Vue are awesome, they sure know how to keep people's stress levels down to a minimum. Ironic, I have read many posts on here...
  11. Life Span Three

I signed up for EC in Oct 2009, worked like a fool and banked up $ all the test fees and whatnot and started testing in May 2010, completed all Sept 2010. I ignored everyone, hid in my cave and kept glued to the study guides to keep me on track. Not ...

  15. Overweight Nurse?

  16. Overweight Nurse?

It does help to cut out sugar, but that's not the reasoning for PCOS. Crazy hormone levels. Mine stemmed from 7yrs of birth control (which aided in the cyst growth). Quitting the bc did help, but once you have the cysts; they may pop on occasion, bu...
  17. Specializing as a Nurse

PALS and ACLS are the most common-need those cert's for just about any job out there. (Easy classes as well). Try not to focus too much on specializing rate now-go thru the nsg program, and pay attention in clinicals. When you find that certain floor...

Yet another PCOS chickie here as well....I was a fattie-size 26 at my highest. Thru trying everything known for PCOS, I was finally approved for endo ablation and it basically cured me. Down to a Size 9 now, approx 20-30lbs left to go. The weight sne...
