just try your best to keep your composure infront of the pt. after a while, you'll get used to most things you see, and be able to stay straight faced, but you will, without a doudt, at some point crack up infront of a pt. or two. lol
there is always the option of doing both, sure it would take a little longer, but you would get good expeirience and some nice refresser points along the way. Im fairly sure most states have some sort of cross over test from RN>Medic and Medic>...
pockets are your friends, brother! try dickies or aviators. oh and koy has men's scrubs now, the only down side i have found to koy men is the sizing runs a little small vs. other brands so make sure you try before you buy.
try any of the underarmour shoes. thats what i wear when im in tha hospital. that or crocks. i tried nike myself, and personaly my pair was great for about the first month, and then they seemed to "break down" and killed my feet.

Just FYI "Tampatech" i am not above cleaning a pt's bm, or emptying their urinal or any of the dirty work. i've been a nurse tech before... and beleive me, in tha military you have to work your way up from the bottom, and still do tha grungy stuff so...
i'm in agreement with noreenl and crunchRN. and as far as the CNA situation.... Last time i checked, CNA stood for 'certified nurse AID'. they have no room in telling you how to do YOUR job, because you are more qualified than they are. You're a NURS...
