I graduated in the fall, and was hired after I took my boards. It's been my passion to work with women, and particularly in postpartum. I enjoyed my rotation and two internships in postpartum prior to graduation. Now, I am working. I oriented for 4 w...

Thank you so much. This feedback is all very helpful. Applications so far haven't gotten me any call backs, but hoping eventually they will. I know this is not going to be sustainable long term. I certainly don't feel appreciated nor valued as an emp...
I am waiting for documents I overnighted to arrive in the hands of a processor in Springfield, so I can hopefully receive my license. I overnighted the documents, but two days later they still have not arrived up from the mailroom to the person I hav...

Thank you for the feedback. I accepted the position at the nursing home and start on Tuesday. I had forgotten that this was a legal issue.. When hospitals train CNA's to be PCT's they can do phlebotomy and start IV's, but then they cannot give medica...

I live in Chicago, and I have not been able to find work in a hospital. My goal is to work in a hospital and I'm wondering if LTC or a MD office will be better experience to get me into a hospital. Unfortunately a lot of the agencies here require 6 m...

I did my FAFSA, and that should take about a week to process online. You should then get an award letter in the mail letting you know what you're eligible for. The PLUS loan can't be applied for until I think about 90 days out.

The best thing you can do is volunteer work. Through that you could connect with different floors and shadow nurses there. Shadowing a doctor won't make your application "look good", but it might make it seem like you are trying to use that as a way ...

I had e-mailed awhile back with a question, and I got a response today. She said they are going to be setting up some student events in the very near future, so I expect we will be hearing from them. As a former Director of Admissions myself, things ...

I haven't heard, but they did cash the check. I think the admissions person was on vacation from like the 8th of May until the 28th of May according to an email I received, so I was planning to call next week if I hadn't heard anything.

This sounds like a disgruntled student to me. Once you are an RN you should be working at a hospital that offers tuition reimbursement - some at 100%. He said he is working at Loyola, which is a hospital that offers tuition reimbursement. Every gene...
Chamberlain is a for-profit school owned by DeVry. It's more pricey than most BSN programs because they expect you to take all the "pre-req.'s" there. For profit schools do not have the best reputation for quality of education..
I haven't received anything from them! I got a call asking for additional information a couple of weeks ago, and they confirmed receipts - but now, no e-mails of any kind, no status change in Campus Connect, nothing. I called today and they said lett...
It looks like applicants should start hearing soon! An advisor called and she said that letters should be going out by the 18th - next week. Has anyone else gotten any phone calls or information?
