OMG, I got the email. LOL!! My nerves are already frazzled, and now this?!?!? Now, I'm not afraid of a challenge, and I know this will be the hardest thing I have done to date. I'm ready to hit the ground sprinting! I will admit, that email did make me even more nervous though. LOL I just had a blank expression on my face after reading it.

no problem :) If you look at the Immunization forms on the first page, #7 says "this is usually completed in a scheduled class at Seminole; see school for the schedule for testing". On the 3rd page of the immunization form it says (fit test) "Once per year, as scheduled at Seminole, you must complete a fit test. Submit documentation of this test when completed through Seminole". So, it appears that this test will be scheduled for us by the school. @Coffee, I would call if you haven't received your package yet. There is a lot to do! :)

The fit testing is done through the school. No need to go on Thursday :).

I don't know if there is a requirement for shoes. (?) Jacksonleo or Nestarden, does the program have a requirement for a specific type of shoe?

I placed my uniform order yesterday at uniformity. The staff there were very nice. Its much better to go in and try it on. I bought two bottoms, two polos, and one warm up jacket. I also bought nurse mates (shoes)-Dove. They were pretty comfy. I did see that these shoes are cheaper if you buy online, but then again you don't get to try them on.

@zetalove, I rec'd an award letter from ucf, but nothing from ssc. I went to ssc to ask why There was no fin. Aid in my Seminole acct for the 2011-2012 year. They said since I have a bachelors degree, I have too many credit hours to be approved for aid. I needed to submit an appeal along with a grad check from a counselor. I just turned in my paperwork today and it will be about 2 weeks before I hear back. FYI, you can also go to ssc's facebook page and post your question. They seem to be really good about replying to general questions. I have to thank wannabnurs for pointing this out lol :)

Monica, I saw the same message. I did each one separately. I ignored the message and continued processing my second order. I have a confirmation in my email for both the background check and the drug screen, so it is fine :)

Hi Pina, I had the same thing happen. I went to the admissions office yesterday (I called first, and they told me I had to go in person to fix this...) and the admissions rep told me that my fall enrollment appointment is not showing because the summer semester just started and it is still too early for the fall enrollment dates to show up on your account. I told her that I need to have this done as it is on my to do list for the nursing program in the fall. She then went into the system and "added" it for me. I can now see my enrollment appt in myseminolestate account. FYI :)

ok, I tried using Firefox instead of Internet Explorer (which has been super slow lately), and I can now see the forms. I plan to submit my financial aid appeal form tomorrow. I also need to speak with a counselor to get a "grad check". If I am approved, then it will only be for the classes listed in my grad check (approved by the counselor).

For some reason, I cannot download the forms from the immunization tracking system website. When I click on the form, it opens up a new window, but it does not download anything. I just get a blank page. Anyone else having this problem? Also, has anyone ever had to submit an appeal in order to get financial aid? Im thinking it's because I have too many credits (I have a Bachelors degree from UCF), but I never had to use financial aid. I hope they do not deny me receiving financial aid.

Wannabnurs, I saw on another post that you live in Lake Mary. I also live in lake mary. :) Im wondering if I know you :) So today is the day that letters go out....i woke up so nervous today. Even though i wont be getting anything today, I just know that the decisions have been made and its just a matter of hours before we know. If it's meant to be then it will happen. Ucfknight, how were u notified? Did they call or email? I hope I get in! I also applied to Seminole State's concurrent program so I have my fingers crossed. We all worked so hard for this! :)

I have my fingers crossed for you, Wannabnurse. I think this may be your year to get in :) You completed your prereqs in the Spring of 2010, right? SSC does look at your pre-req completion dates first. At least that is what they said at the nursing info session I went to last year.

Hi JeffUCF, they do look at the current classes that you are taking. It should show up on your transcript. The schools offer provisional acceptance. This allows you to complete whatever pre-reqs that you have left, as well as anything else pending for full acceptance. Did everyone submit their UCF online applications for the concurrent program? I guess they are having technical difficulties with their online application program. An email went out saying that anyone who did NOT complete their online application must email back ASAP. Good thing we submitted our paper applications initially :) I hope it does not delay their decision process by much. TGIF :) Have a great weekend everyone!

Thanks, jacksonleo. It helps greatly to have an idea of what to expect. I will def purchase the books, then. I just hated the fact that I would spend so much on the textbooks and the professors never used them lol. That was incredibly frustrating.

Thank you so much for your advice, nestarden and jacksonleo. :) I really do not want to purchase the textbooks if it is possible to do well on the exams without them. I managed to do very well on my pre reqs by just taking great notes, asking questions, and studying my notes (in addition to study guides and lecture ppt slides) very well. I also used google a lot. I really wish I knew the school schedule for the day program (lectures, labs, clinicals, etc) in advance so that I can coordinate childcare ahead of time.
