Eagle, were you a radiographer first, or did you go right into radiation therapy? I mean, where I would be applying to is a huge university/hospital (Jefferson)..I can't imagine they'd offer these routes separately from radiography if you couldn't do...

From what I've heard (I'm not a nurse yet, will be going to school soon), you only need a year of telemetry or med-surg before you can be considered for a specialty like ICU or ER, etc. Just show interest and ask if you can observe, etc.

Stick with it. You are definitely at a disadvantage b/c you weren't a telemetry or med-surg nurse first. Doing that for a year is a HUGE advantage b/c you see a lot of everything and get a lot of good experience. I say stick it out and just contin...

As long as you are in an accredited program at an accredited university, you ARE eligible for federal funding. The fact that it is a 2nd degree should have no bearing on that. Not sure why you think you aren't eligible, just fill out a FAFSA!! htt...
