you take nclex because you want to work here as a nurse but you need to have a ssn to be able to work here. the nclex is not your ticket to get an ssn.

i was once a jobless nurse too and i know its very hard. maybe you can try some other country besides us. here in my state, there are alot of jobless RNs too.

i dont see any wrong if you will drew a blood since you are an iv nurse. im not an iv nurse here in the us but we drew blood and insert heplocks here.

your visa is valid only for 6 months? it must be a tourist visa. you cant work in the us with that type of visa.

hospitals here in the us have questionnaires that asks whether you can work legally here. i tried that both online and in person at the HR office.

visit the cgfns website, they have the lists of states that has different licensing requirements.

it will create more things to do if you arent a licensed nurse in your home country. looking for states that dont require one, english tests, etc. soon some states will change their rules regarding that license issues.

CA has a longer process because alot are applying in that state, they thought its an easier and smoother route.
