Cnas when is the best time to get oral care done on a evening shift??How do ya do it?

wow i wish I had all ya'll efficient people working with me=)....wat about patients that can't spit out the water????

Has anyone ever worked with a patient that had hidden cameras in their room????has anyone ever heard of a situation like that???Is that even allowed???If you have was it uncomfortable not because you were doing anything wrong, but just uncomfortable ...

the problem with that is I'm a newer nurse than her so I'm still working on improving my assessment skills and im still learning.

I work 2-10 in a nursing home. I come after a rn that is just as dumb as rocks. She has been a nurse for a while but at times I feel like I know more than her, and I've only been a nurse less than a year. I regularly have to explain how to do thin...

i don't know just working after this woman makes me nervous.

Yea I try and help her and teach her, but I'm not sure how much good it will do. I wish I could be mean but sometimes I'm just too nice.

Not kinda disorganized a lot disorganized lol and doesn't possess much common sense. Another nurse actually described her as a "highly paid med aide.":uhoh3:

And oh yea when I come in she'll ask me to go assess a patient for her because she's not sure if somethings wrong with them.

Well i'm not saying she's a bad person or anything; she's actually a very nice lady. I didn't mean "best" nurses I mean more expierienced nurses.

It's just frustrating to me because I've only been working there about 2 months, and I'm a fairly new nurse-less than a yr expierience. So like I said I'm just afraid some mistakes are gonna be made and I'm gonna be dragged up with all of it.

Yes I think she used to work in in surgery, but she's been working at the nursing home about 6 months. Isn't that enough time to know a thing or two by now???

What can be done for a resident that has a fall history yet is non-compliant with alarms and asking for assistance?????

yea she is confused. I guess i'm just annoyed I got in trouble when I feel I'm doing everything I can for this person, but yet she still manages to find a way to fall.

cnas forgot to put in resident's hearing aids...nurse's fault. resident got a skin tear..nurse's fault

Im a new lvn and im havin trouble being a charge nurse.im sick and tired of the lazy cnas ive had.one cna even told me when i asked a patient be changed that he had to pass drinks...man was i furious!!!how should i have handled that situation?should ...

wow I can't believe how similar how we are. It's scary actually, but I think they'res no use killing yourself over what could have been. You can only try and make your life better from now on. Keep your head up girl=D
