  10. Would you take a pay cut?

I took about a $25,000/yr. pay cut to go from being in a clinical setting to an educational setting, but to me, it is worth it to be doing something you love. Money won't always bring you happiness.

At the college I teach at (a 1+1 nursing program), the students have a few gen. ed. classes they have to have to start the LPN program, then at the end of the 1st year they set for their boards. Then as an LPN they return for the 2nd year, completing...

  21. Advice needed on further education from here

Yes, once you have your BSN, for me to go PT it is another 19 mo. or so. They have an RN to BSN that is 9 mo. FT study, so maybe 16-18 mo. PT study. Part of the MSN curriculum is the core classes that every Master's degree has to take, then you branc...

I am a Nursing Instructor, and I always tell my nursing students.....if you have to ask, you probably shouldn't do it.
  25. Lost job over HIPAA violation, what is employment potential?

From my experience, when a new potential employer calls Human Resources for a reference check, they will not be able to ask details. They can inquire whether or not she was employed there, for how long, and whether or not she would be considered for ...
