Thanks for answering my questions about the U of I. I interviewed there,but decided to accept a position in Cedar Rapids.Where is everybody from? I'm originally from Red Oak,but have lived in Maquoketa,too.

Not everywhere...In my LDRP unit (1100 deliveries per year),new nurses are required to cross train to all areas and circulate in OR for sections.Nurses who've been there for years(10+)don't have to cross train to L&D.Not policy...just the way it ...

I took out half of what I owe in private loans.I'm married with a 10 yr old and a four yr old.I's pretty hard,and I did have my hubby who took over the household stuff while I was in a 16-month program.Didn't have a loan cosigner.

State schools are notorius(sp) for that...I got much more scholarship $ with private school than I would have had I gone to the accelerated program at the state university.I'm 50K+ in debt(Tuition,etc... plus childcare)

Hi...I went accelerated BSN,but because my goal is MSN.If you know that for sure, it's the best bet.

I'd agree with lizz that you could go on to ADN and save yourself some $$;however you should make the decision on based on your future plans.If you're planning on grad school,go the BSN route.I went accelerated because I want the MSN.

I hope I'm doing this correctly...So glad someone else has pointed out lack of correlation between the two.
