How do you clean your NICU? Any Protocol?

We do infuse TPN with Dextrose 12.5% and below via peripheral line and higher than that should be infused via central line.

We never infuse anything via UAC except for Heparinized Saline.

Yeah, you are all right, washing it off is the best remedy. And yes surgeon are stubborn with regards to these matters. We have one case of burn in our unit. right after the surgery, burn and blisters are already noted. what we did is we treated it ...

There is a confusion in our unit with regards to the removal of vernix. References will both differs in advises - to keep and remove it as well. Is there any protocol or rule with regards on when is the appropriate time for vernix to be removed?

So i got your point...infection will always be around us. We can though prevent infection if we have 1 strong team to fight it. For short, we need a 100 percent compliance from the whole team. Thanks a lot!

Our patient with PRBC infiltrates really improved a lot with our conservative management. Color improved dramatically. Yes, meticulous assessment is really helpful.
