Hi! BP, don't give up on your dreams.God did not carry you this far to let you down my dear. on march 31,I took the Nclex-pn for the second time and found out that I failed. I was devastated knowing how much time N effort I put into studying. i'm 9yrs older than you and I've decided to dust myself off and try again because God did not carry me this far to let me down. If it wasn't meant for me to be a nurse I would not have graduated. A year after graduating the school closed down I could have been one of the students that didnt make it out of that school.so my dear don't despair follow your dreams,U can do it.

Hi! Geoff, Congratulations. I will be taking my Nclex-PN too(soon I hope) I have not scheduled a date yet, mainley because I'm afraid to go and face this beast. what was the exam like, did u get alot of select all that apply, or any audio. need some words of encouragemnet please share with me your experience.

Hi!!! Nerilene how are you? I read your post and I just wanted to feed you some words of encouragement. You graduated some time ago and I can see that you are hungry to pass this NCLEX as well as I am. I graduated in 09,and took the NCLEX-PN in April 2010 unfortunatley I failed. I have'nt taken the exam again due to fear of failing again. I have a 16month old and a darling husband who encouraged me to reschedule for the exam but I never did. I feel like all my skills and knowledge gradually evaporated. As of right now I'm trying to get myself in the zone I'm using saunders 4th edition I heared alot of good things about this book. What you must know is that you have already won, now you are just waiting for your prize and the only way this prize will come about is if you study hard so u go and attack this DEMON. I know juggling being a mom, wife and studying has it's ruff edges but it is possible, The lord didn't bring you this far no reason. U CAN DO IT. I've even become my own spokes person. We can support each other and ifyou'd like we can study through PM. Let me know, and please don't despair or give up hope.

Ive posted several times asking If anyone has heared about the Helen Feuer review. No one has replied, Iam sure that there are GN's,or working nurses that has taken this review. All I want to know is how effective this review is and what the passing rate is. I just want some of you nurses to share your thoughts and experience. But it seems like im asking for too much.

Do not repeat chapters for the ending of the story never changes. If u didnt like it the first time what makes you think you will like the 2nd time around. The money sounds great but may not bring you happiness as you mentioned when u worked nights you were depressed. just keep in mind you are too blessed too be stressed especially it if it's for a couple of dollars.

If you live in brooklyn you can go the Grand Army Plaza Library, check out the book . there are tons of nursing books, Saunders for sure I check that book out all the time and renew it online. Goodl Luck on your search

May I ask what agency?

does anyone know if MRDD facilities hire LPN's I live in N.Y. I was told that years ago LPN's were hired to work with the MRDD population but they have been replaced by R.N. Is this true?

Back in the day there were misconceptions about male nurses. But now we are living in the 21 century things have changed toward male nurses drastically (although there are some ignorant ones) I"ve encountered some male nurses, and They had such a great attitude and spirit. So I say go for it, You will make a wonderful nurse.

I live in queens NY but willing to travel within the 5 boroughs. How long after being hired did u take your boards? Also did your job give you a deadline to show proof of your license or proof of passing the boards. I know you live in Florida but would you happen to know anywhere in NYC that hires without the license.Any info would help thanks

I would like to know if there are facilities that hire new grads (LPN) that havn't taken the boards. I thought perhaps a time frame is given to the new grad providing that proof is shown to the DON that they have passed the exam to continue working as an LPN. I was told there are places that does this,if so where?
