One concern you might need to address would be having your circulation compromised for 12 hours. If you are on the knee walker for that long your foot may take longer to heal. Most places are willing to work with someone who really wants/needs to wor...

Aerobics will probably help more than pure weight lifing, and in my personal opinion a circuit training routine is very beneficial because of the cardio/strength training. If you don't do anything though, you will feel it more when you are up for 12-...

Anytime there is a question on a test that deals with Airway, Breathing or Circulation, that is exactly how you approach it, A, B, C. This is to get you in the mode of thinking I need to establish a clear airway before I can breathe for the patient.....

You need to give the epi first, but if the patient has an edematous airway, you need more help than just you in the room. One individual (usually the most experienced with the airway) needs to manage the airway with the most basic maneuver to keep it...

One more thing you might try would be if she is in a hospital type bed, position her legs higher than her head for about 15-20 minutes a couple of times a day. This may help her venous return. Good luck with Krebs...it never really goes away!

When I graduated from RN school the best preceptor I had was an LPN, she took the time to actually explain why we were doing what we were doing, never was rushed, even when she had 7 or 8 "low acuity" patients. LPN stands for Licensed Practical Nurse...

Another problem may be the fact that the muscles in her legs just don't get used. The body uses the natural muscle action around veins to return blood back to the heart and then onto the kidneys where excess water is filtered out. Because your daught...
Several years ago we had a new admission to the ER from a local nursing home. The poor old lady was febrile and delerious, and she needed to be changed. While we were changing her, cleaning her up, putting in the foley, taking the temp, she kept hitt...

Hi Viper, I just used a template available online through Microsoft for my resume. I don't think they look for any particular style. I have a job offer, just waiting on the security clearance. Another thing, you are going to have to send in addition...
Why don't you go to her, explain the way you feel, that you like your job and your concerns are just that, open, honest concerns and when you go in, take a couple of suggestions to help with the problems? If she is really interested in making the flo...
Considering the level of education that is required to get into flight nursing and the crap pay that AirMethods offers a "rookie" flight nurse (who usually has 5+ years of experience)...no, not at all. Not to mention the number of accidents within th...

Hi goldensfo, the 1662 is the call to active duty issued by the division (BOP, IHS, etc) you go to work for. You have to have the 1662 before your security clearance stuff goes through. I have been working on this for several months now, but haven't ...
