As I sit here and read the responses for this topic, I think back to when I was in nursing school (2009-2011). I felt the same way. But now that I have some experience under my belt, you have no understanding of pressure. You may think that the nur...
i hope that you mean that your facility is discouraging overtime. it would be against the law for the facility to not pay overtime to an hourly employee..
The OP stated that they looked in the patients chart and MAR. Correct me if I am wrong, but as this person is a CNA and not a med tech, it would be a HIPAA violation and therefore the CNA could be reported to the BON...
What I find amazing with this whole thread is it should be about the hiring practices in our hospitals, but rather it has turned into a man-bashing thread. If I would have started a female-bashing thread, it would be deleted and I would be scolded f...

SyberianPuppy... There is a definite reason why the people on this website question one's motive on why they want to become a nurse. You stated in your original post that you have always wanted to be a doctor but due to time spent with patients and ...
Is it me or lately there has been a lot of medical/nursing advice seekers on this site lately. I thought that this was a site for nurses to chat about nursing related topics.
Actually its NOT LEGAL. It falls under something we like to DISCRIMINATION! Just cause your ugly is not a good enough reason to hire/not hire someone. Sure its the doctors practice, but laws are laws...
