Are you guys referring to you interview subject as "patient" in your care plans? This is awkward because she isn't a sick, hospitalized patient! Also are we supposed to have citations in our care plans? How would we do that?

Looking ahead to week 5 it says to read chapters 8,9 and 11. I have the old book. Does anyone know what cultures those are?

Anyone get points taken off their DB citation for not including the DOI? I had to laugh because if the reference has one I include it and if it doesn't I don't. It's that simple, am I supposed to make it up?

Trust me you will find out soon enough the busy shifts (when you don't eat,pee, or even have time to think) will more than make up for the few slow shifts when you can relax and surf the Internet a little. It's way too early for you to judge!

Me too and I have a question about assignment 1. I have taken the CCHPA assessment twice and both times the site has crashed right when I went to print it (once at home and once at work) so I think it's the site. I need the info to do the assignment....

I bought the 5th edition because I found it on amazon for $9! I figure I will take a chance. I bought the last edition for public health and there were a few page changes but it worked just fine and saved me about $60.

I did not see anything about spacing DB posts in this class. I posted all of mine on the same day one week and my TA didn't take off any points.

I haven't had the problem you describe with blackboard erasing my whole post (just the usual formatting issues) but people in my last class complained about it.

Dare I say I'm kind of enjoying this week! The 20/20 video about the Appalachia was sad and interesting. I also enjoyed the game. The assignments even seem reasonable!

I've quit adding any extra citations because I'm not willing to risk it. Isn't that sad? I also avoid any complicated references out of fear of making an error.

My employer is so picky with reimbursement I doubt they would accept the percentage. Hopefully it works for you.
