I just took the NCLEX and it shut off after question #75. I did the Pearson Vue Trick and it allowed me to enter my CC info. I don't know what to think at this point. All I can do is wait.
Hello everyone! It has been awhile since I've logged in, but have been super busy with school. To everyone who got accepted to start in Fall '11, Congrats! My advice - study, study, study! You will have to dedicate yourself to school 110%. Your ...
Patito, You're pretty much going to be in school all day. I work part time and I only work weekends. Your schedule is going to be different each day. You'll be getting a schedule for the semester that tells what class/lab/lecture you'll have each ...
BellaBella, Congrats on getting accepted into the program! I survived 1st semester and will begin 2nd semester in the Spring. My advice: Read, read, read! Don't fall behind on your reading. You are going to have a lot of check-offs 1st semester ...
Patito, It all depends on the pool that's ranking with you in Oct. When I ranked in June there was about 60 students out of the 90 that got accepted all had A's in their ranking courses (AP I and II, and Micro). The rest of the students had 2 ...
Hi Laura, What did the counselor @ EPCC tell you that she/he scared you?? I'm ranking in June to start the program this Fall. I've heard a couple of horror stories from some of the students but nothing too bad. For the most part I've heard the EPC...
Hey Andrew, Congrats on graduating! That's a big accomplishment, can't wait to be in your shoes. I rank in June to begin in the Fall(2010). I'm hearing a lot of horror stories about 1st semester, especially Foundations. Any advice you can give me...
ellasbella, Hi! I haven't been on here in awhile either. What do you think of ***** so far? I had her for Micro and did well in the class. I'm taking Pharm right now with ***********. I'm sure you've heard of her, she's the Nurse Practitioner fo...
CSantos, I could not stop reading about all your experiences about your first semester in Nursing School. This is exactly the kind of thread I was looking for. You gave good detailed information about what goes on in Nursing School (types of lectur...
Hi, my suggestion is if you don't have to work while you're in the program then don't work. A couple of my friends are nurses and they said the nursing program is intense and it takes up a lot of your time(clinicals, homework, studying, etc.) I'm w...
Hello ellasbella, I took Ms. ****** for both AP I & II. I got A's in both. Although some students said she was tough, I learned a lot from her. What I liked about her is that she gave us a study guide for each exam, so we knew more or less what...
I heard ******is really good but unfortunately she's only teaching day classes and I need either weekend or night classes. I'm taking Micro with ****** at the Rio Grande campus. I heard she's good, so I should do fine. I also heard that **** is a ...

I've heard that a male has priority getting accepted than a female into the Nursing Program simply because they need a lot more male nurses in the workplace. P.S. I hope that's true!!!!
Hi, we're in the same boat. I have my BBA (marketing/management) but I've always wanted to be a nurse. I'm also going for my ADN and in the future get my BSN. I have my BBA to back it up so I really don't see the need to get my BSN right now. I'v...

Study, study, study!!! I've taken both AP I and II. Got A's in both. It's a lot of reading. If you don't understand the chapter read it again. What helped me is I took notes as I read. I studied a lot. The urinary, respiratory, and digestive s...
Hello, I'm excited to discover this website and to see that there are posts up from students from EPCC. I have a lot of questions about the program so I'm hoping to get some good responses. I've completed both AP I and II, I just need Micro to ran...
