I've been checking into the whole travel nurse idea and was wondering if there are very many opportunities for a psych nurse in the travel world.

persons with a mental illness are sick...in some ways i agree with getting the med-surg experience but imho with the patient/nurse ratios the way they are these days, your license can be put in jeopardy...not that it can't be put in jeopardy with psy...

Has anyone taken a psych assignment with any of the travel companies?...I've been i psych for 11+ years and kind of feel the need to broaden my horizons and check out the other side for a while?...Any feedback would be deeply appreciated

you can expect a lot of days off to work prn somewhere else...to me that's the only advantage of 12 hr shifts...do u work all three in row?

sounds like a tricky situation...it is imperative that your brother keep all of his follow up appointments and take his meds as prescribed...offer your support but encourage compliance with aftercare...how old is your brother?
