Good point about not needing the stethoscope and kit 1st day! I had some people in my micro class today say not to buy all the books because you won't need them all, so I'm really confused about what to do. It's expensive and I don't want to spend more than I need to but I want to be prepared. I can't place who you were, lol. I was closer to the door, brown hair, green shirt.

    Chattanooga LPN Program

I was overwhelmed with all the information. I've got to find time to do a 5 hour module lol and get all these things taken care of in the next 2 months....WHEW!! I was also not aware that we would be putting money up front before financial aid. I am excited about being in the new building:yeah:, I didn't know that's where we would be. Do you know if we have to bring all our books and kit, stethoscope, etc the first day? I guess I'm going to have to buy a rolling bag like she suggested! That's alot of text!! Where were you in the room? There are still some things that were gray areas to me, what about you?..

I got a B in Nutrition too. I'm taking Microbiology at night this summer 2 days a week. I'm hoping I do really well in there, too. I am excited about starting the program and anxious to find everything out on June 3. Of course, I wish it were the RN program but with me only have 2 biology courses I can see why I wasn't accepted. I'm worried about balancing time with my family as well, my oldest starts Kindergarten and I'll be putting my 2 yr old in daycare for the 1st time..

chattanooga state LPN program starting Fall 2009

AMEN! It would make things a lot easier. I've already had a nightmare about class, lol. A friend of mine that graduated from the program last year said on clinical days its 6am - 12pm. I'm really not looking forward to that.

Me too! It's supposed to last an hour so whatever they can cram into that I suppose. I'm sure that there will be plenty of questions asked afterwards..I'm curious about the uniform requirement and how out that will play out.

chattanooga state LPN program starting Fall 2009

I wanted to take a break but after talking to an RN instructor, she advised me to go ahead and take it this summer because I want to transition and it will be the only semester plus the Fall of 10 to complete my 2 classes. Are you going to the orientation on June 3rd?

    Chattanooga LPN Program

Hi Ladies, I was just accepted into the Fall 2009 LPN program at Chatt. State so I really appreciate this thread. I am taking Micro in the summer and planned to take A&P II in the fall. Do you think this would be too much along with the LPN program, taking A&P II in the fall? These are the only 2 classes I left for prereq's into the RN program. I have 2 small children as well and planned to take A&P at night on campus but I didn't know how intense the LPN program was, I won't be working...THANKS!
