You are very welcome! I hate suprises as well. I was so anxious to just "get it done" and be "official". Now that I am, I'm very excited to start but also very nervous. I haven't taken the "core". My impression is that it was "included" in Term 1. I ...

Thanks! Sorry to hear that your experience has been less than stellar. It def can be frustrating. I'm not sure about the core. I'm assuming (I guess I better check) but they paid for the full term, which I thought included the core. They paid for th...

Hi, I used WIA to start LPN. The process is pretty easy. You attend an orientation, take an assessment and they provide you with a list of schools/classes that you can take. After choosing the PN class at Atlantic Tech, I had to take the orientation ...
Sorry for the delayed response They give you specific locations that have agreements with them. I was trying to do the same thing (get everything done in advance) but was basically stuck until you got the forms in orientation. What I did do in advan...
Hello! They give you a slip to take it to their preferred locations and I think it was Labcorp. I went to the one on dixie hwy just north of commercial on the west side of the road. I'm not sure if they take appointments or not.
I am not sure on the arrest issue. So I can't help ya on that one. The immunizations weren't that bad. Just frustrating that my doc didn't have the one I needed and had to go to the health dept. I wasn't sure how long they were good for so my doc did...
MSMiami, Ask away, I'm happy to help any way I can. Unfortunately you are required to use the forms they give you in orientation. Now, I guess it depends on your relationship with your doctor. I knew which immunizations I needed so I made the appt wi...
I'm not sure on that one. I believe the TEAS can be taken 3 times per year (don't quote me). As far as the TEAS, you have to score in the 40th percentile in each category. The bright side, if you pass everything but one section, you can retake just t...
Be happy to help. So, here's the process I went through. This could be somewhat different for you, as I utilized the WIA program through unemployment to pay for my tuition. First I did the TABE, then went through Orientation in May, scheduled the TEA...
THANK YOU!! The teas wasn't too bad. It was stressful though. I used the ATI study guide and studied all summer. Could have been far worse! I'm SO excited to start
NHanCI do you know under what circumstances the classes are cut to 10 months vs the full 12? I read on their programs that it's at the students pace, but doesn't go into any further details. Thanks for any info you might have.
The next class starts Oct 26th. I know that during registration for the last class the LPN program was already closed for August. Prior to registering you have to get your immunizations, background check, drug testing and successfully pass the TABE a...
Thank you for all of the information. I thought Math would be my worst score on the Teas, but it ended up to be Science (who knew). But I'll definately use the next month or so to bone up on my Math. I'm not stressed about the clinicals, I'm actually...
Hey, I'll take whatever edge I can get! That's great info about the backpack/watch. I'll run up there and get them. Thanks for offering to answer my questions. I am nervous but excited as well. Any tips/tricks or advice? Anything I could do now to ma...
I'm a guy so I think I can handle that. Lol. What do use to lug all those books around in? Backpack? Do you think a voice recorder is helpful or not needed? I haven't been to school in 20 yrs so I'm nervous as heck!!
That's great to hear. I start Oct 26th. So here's a dumb question, but do you bring ALL of the books with you on the first day? So far, i've been really happy with all of the faculty there during the registration process.

:DGood suggestion. I also google'd a lot of things for the math section since I knew it was my weakest so you may be able to find practice tests, quizzes, study guides, etc. by doing that. I know I struggled with fractions until I found a cool websit...

The only advice I have on that one is to read everything slowly/carefully. Also use every last second to review all of your answers. That was the method I used which let me eliminate the incorrect answers more quickly. Hang in there!!
So, I'm apologizing in advance of how dumb this question is, but I'm going to ask anyway. I haven't attended school in 20 something years and I'm registered to start LPN at a tech school in October. I just got all of my books for term 1 (7-8 VERY lar...
