Wow. 3 months is a nice training period. We only get 6 weeks on med/surg.

I think the pay increases when the position becomes permanent (I'm not sure though). I was told I would be eligible for a permanent position in 6 months, at that time I would have to re-interview for permanent positions that are open at that time.

It depends on whether or not the facilities are hiring for any positions. Timing is everything.

Mine took about 4 1/2 months to finally get to me. I heard it can take 6-8 weeks though, but for some reason mine took twice as long.

i don't think it's being greedy. an interview is just an interview, it is not a concrete job offer. until you have that job offer in hand, you are not obligated to anyone and i think it's smart to take advantage of all the options that may come you...
