  2. And the results are in....

I know the pain of going to a private college. I pay $525 a month for my student loans. My parents income was too much (was still claimed on their taxes since I lived at home) to help me get more for financial aid, so most of my loans are private. ...

  8. staffing

In LTC where I work: Only time that is 1:1 is if someone is physically combative with staff. And if they are combative with staff we have to get permission from the DON for the 1:1. If she says no then you deal with it. Usually if it happens durin...
  9. First day of Orientation?

I was given a 10 day orientation at my LTC facility. My first day I followed the nurse that I was with to get the feel of how the day would go. I didn't do the med pass that day but I did do assessments so I could learn how to do Medicare charting.

  13. ATI Testing

If it is the Comprehensive ATI, which at my school the last ATI you take before you graduate, it predicts what your chances are with how you will do on the NCLEX-RN. I had scored a 84% which translates into a scoring scale of 99% chance passing first...

  18. Schools without waiting list for 2year RN program???

Also with the last class that graduated in July, out of the 13, 1 person failed NCLEX and 1 has not taken it yet. So the pass rate has greatly increased for NCLEX compared to what has been said in the pass about the pass rate. Most of them that hav...

  21. Fainting in Surgery Clinical...

I had that feeling in OB during a C-section and also the first cardiac cath I saw in Med/Surg. All I did was take a few steps back near a wall and calmly took a few really deep breaths and I was ok again. I did look away while I was taking the deep b...
  22. For me it is all the reading I have. There are not enough hours in the day to get it done and work. My mind would wander onto other things that needed to be done besides the reading. Also there was the whole OB rotation. I do not have an intrest i...
