  1. What kind of bag do you carry?

This is an amazing bag!!! I love the zippered pocket for the sharps container and the plastic dividers. Great bag if you see many patients and need to carry wound supplies.

Are you talking about the assessment class? Can't remember which nursing course it is. Do you work with any RNs? I just asked one of my uncle's co-workers.
  3. Indiana State University LPN-BSN, Recommended or not??

I have 2 more semesters at ISU and have not had any problems finding a clinical site or preceptor. I did locate the facility but ISU did all the paperwork & negotiating for the contract. I was also given names of facilities that other students ...
  4. Indiana State University BSN Thread for Current Students

You can use any RN that can give 2-4 hours of their time a week, actually may be less. One of my uncle's co-workers was my preceptor for the assessment class. ISU should not drop you for not having a preceptor, unless they have changed things since...
  5. Anyone heard of College Network LVN to BSN

You should first check with the board in your state to see what schools are approved. Some states do not allow Excelsior because there is no clinical portion. I would not recommend TCN. However, I would recommend ISU. I am in my final year (took ...

I used the TCN study guides for the 4 nursing exams and 2 of the 4 exams were identical to the reviews in the study guides. You could complete all 4 in a semester but would need to devote a lot of time to studying. I am in my final year and live in...

  15. Indiana State University BSN Thread for Current Students

It is actually not that easy to find clinical sites anywhere in CA. I have 4 classmates that live in LA and Orange county area and are still not in a clinical site. We have to compete with other schools that actually have an instructor on site and ...

  18. Indiana State University BSN Thread for Current Students

I don't know how much per unit but I am taking 14 units this semester and tuition was around $3600, clinical fee $300, and books $300 (rented 2 books). My total cost will be around $18000 for 2 1/2 years, if I can take a nursing class in the summer....
  19. Indiana State University BSN Thread for Current Students

The online courses are the same course as the students on campus. They aren't more difficult. They do require you to stay motivated since you generally have a full week to complete tasks and assignments, which can allow for procrastination. There ...

  21. Indiana State University BSN Thread for Current Students

As long as you dedicate study time you can complete the 4 CSMs by the fall. You do not have to purchase the study modules from TCN to take these exams, however, they are very helpful. You are responsible for paying for the modules, testing fee, and...

  25. Indiana State University BSN Thread for Current Students

I have nothing bad to say about ISU's online program. I am in my senior year and will graduate in Dec of this year. For the TEAS, just use a nursing entrance exam book that you can get at Barnes & Noble or Amazon, etc. It's not that bad at all...
